Coutinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain start, Ings and Markovic on the bench
Liverpool Team: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, […]-
My eyes are on Oxlade-Chamberlain to see he does starting in a red shirt. Would have like to see Woodburn start. I had forgotten we still had multi million pound Markovic! 🙂
-
He’s been OK – not shown ‘anything’ yet and still waiting to see ‘something’ that justifies our interest. I never really rated him at Arsenal. I know he can have his ‘moments’ but more often than not, justified why he has never been more than a ‘squad’ player. Klopp may well help him realise his potential, deliver the ‘good’ performances he can display on a regular basis. I also know he hasn’t had time to settle and a ‘match’ in great circumstances yet – although even with our dominance today, he has had a chance to force himself up the pecking order.

Team to play Leicester: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Robertson, Henderson, Grujic, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Coutinho, Solanke
Subs: Karius, Milner, Moreno, Ings, Markovic, Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold

Not too much of a surprise in the starting XI I think – based on his comments yesterday and the busy schedule.
However the bench has a few surprises – especially Markovic who was expected to be sold. Ings is back too. I thought Woodburn may have had a Start but no surprise he has made the bench. I thought Salah may have been on the bench to add…[Read more]-
It’s time to see what’s what for LFC.

I think it is time to bring in Ben Woodburn for regular starts up front. He has the fearlessness of youth and an eye for goal. He could make the difference on days like yesterday.

Hmmm Very frustrating and ultimately disappointing Liverpool 1 Burnley 1

A familiar story for Liverpool loads of pressing and shots but our flaky defence means we go into the break without a lead!

Goal!!!! Salah( 30mins)
Yet again, against the run of play, we find ourselves having to come from behind. However a great response and within 4mins, we get our goal – Can picks Salah out who brings the ball down and smashes it home.
Was beginning to think we would continue our poor finishing, our poor final ball after so much possession. Its…[Read more]

7 changes, Sturridge and Coutinho start
Philippe Coutinho makes his first start of the season and there’s a place for Daniel Sturridge too.At the back Mignolet returns with Alexander-Arnold, Klavan and […]

I think this is a good lineup. Henderson and Gini needed benching. Good to see Andy Robertson being given another chance and I hope he will supply plenty of crosses for Sturridge and Firmino
-
I agree, Henderson has not been at his best so far this season. Sturridge needs games if he’s going to get into a scoring rhythm and hopefully today is the day!

Klopp had to make changes – all these games are taking its toll on the players and you can see how they are tiring in the last stages of matches. We have games coming every weekend and mid-week too so we had to make changes to keep players fit, give players a rest and keep those who may not be playing match ready too…

What a disappointment last night was. All things fans warned of – leaking defence, not clinical in front of goal were on display. We have done nothing to address these problems. Now after these exertions we must face Burnley who have had their feet up all week. Can see that match going one way 🙁

well we drew!! Gomez got a red too. Yet again an example of our \’weaknesses\’ – some dubious defending and not clinical enough in attack – despite all that pace etc…

2-1 Salah (37min)
A deflected shot finds the back of the net after Salah wind the ball back with the usual LFC press.
A turnaround – but in fairness, its deserved. Sevilla haven’t really got into our half. Maybe it was a nervy start from our back 4 that contributed to the early lead but since then, Sevilla have struggled with the pace and…[Read more]

Klopp ain’t happy at all. TheOx had a disaster of a debut last night. Since Mane red card and Firmino missed penalty LFC are lost confidence completely.
