3pts but really should have been by a much bigger margin!! I know 3pts were most important but that was so one sided we really should have boosted our GD too.

10 minutes to go plus stoppage time – absolutely vital we shut up shop and don’t give away a sloppy equaliser!

GOAL!!! Salah (76mins)
The amount he has missed today (and this season) could have seen Salah with 5 or 6 goals but at least he has kept going, kept getting into the right positions and got his 2nd of the match…

Salah could and probably should have had a hat-trick this afternoon. He missed 2 easier chances in the first half than he scored and has just missed another chance…

GOAL!!! Salah (52mins)
After laying siege to LCFC \’s goal, squandering chances and some desperate defending, LFC get the goal they deserve.

Hopefully the Fab Four are well on their game and give us the 3pts we need with 2nd to 6th only separated by 6pts and we need to close the gap on 3rd and not let Arsenal or Spurs get above us.
Come on you REDS!!! YNWA

Leicester pose plenty of threats, and they have improved under their new manager so this one will be far harder than the Swansea game. Hopefully, the lads will settle all of us down by getting an early goal! Come on you Reds!

Here is what Carragher has said about VVD and defending for LFC under Klopp.
On the face of it, Van Dijk faces a tough challenge at Liverpool because of the team’s attacking intent and the consequences that brings for the defenders. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher made that point himself recently.
“I always think how difficult it would be to…[Read more]

Something I have made the point about over and over again. With two ‘wing backs’ rather than full backs and no ‘dedicated’ holding midfielder, we often leave our CB’s very exposed and make it easy for the attacking opposition to find space, to pull those CB’s out of position and to have ‘easier’ opportunities to score.
That was ‘clear’ against…[Read more]

I really do think that is ‘excessive’ a price to pay for a player of VVD’s calibre and ‘age’. There are some great ‘alternatives’ that are less experienced but offer as much – if not more.
The one great thing is that VVD is not cup tied for us in either of the cup competitions – FA or CL. Its no secret that we have ‘struggled’ with…[Read more]-
Naby Keita will sort out a lot of these issues from midfield because Keita always keeps the ball at his feet and controlls his space brilliantly.
-
Naby is a box to box midfielder – Plays more where Gini tends to – not a dedicated holding/defensive midfielder.
In fairness to Naby though, he is more likely to go with his runner, happy to get back and help out but his main role is to drive forward.
He isn’t a ‘Lucas’ for example. Hendo is a big culprit for some of our defensive issues as he is…[Read more]

Thank you FSG! At last you have got your cheque book out and signed some defensive quality. It has taken you more than 6 years to wake up and smell the coffee but at last you have done what fans have been long asking for – quality at the back! I really hope VVD hits the ground running from next week and won’t feel the pressure of such a large fee. It looks like we got him under the noses of Man City, which makes this signing especially pleasing!

It was against the bottom side in the league but 3 points is 3 points and keeps us well in the race for fourth place! Firmino and Coutinho are phenomenal these days!
-
Yep totally agree, it was always going to be a cake walk in the park.
-
-
It certainly turned into a cake walk BUT it wasn’t as convincing as it should have been. The chances we wasted in the first half, the complacency and at times selfish play in the final third, could have haunted us. As Carragher said during the game, the longer a game goes 1-0 – especially against teams like LFC, the opposition grow in confidence…[Read more]

Yep Leicester were completely outplayed in every department. MoSalah wow!!!
Disappointing that Salah missed so many good chances. He could have had 5 today with the chances he had. 3 he missed were ‘easier’ than the 2 he scored.
Salah has been involved in more goals in the EPL than ANY other player BUT also missed more ‘great’ chances than any other player. 15 great chances missed – could be on 32 goals…
I Know its…[Read more]
